Youth Innovation Lab (YI-Lab) is a not-for-profit civic tech company that works at the intersection of emerging cutting-edge technological tools and their applications by equipping young professionals to solve emerging challenges in our community. Job Description 

The Motion Design Trainee will play a pivotal role in our dynamic team, focusing on creating visually compelling content to amplify our message and engage our audience across various digital platforms. This role demands creativity, technological proficiency, and a passion for storytelling through motion graphics and video editing.

Qualifications 

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • ·      Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, along with familiarity with other video editing and motion graphics software.

    ·      Demonstrated ability to create engaging video content, with a portfolio showcasing previous work.

    ·      Strong understanding of storytelling principles and visual aesthetics.

    ·      Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively under deadlines.

    ·      Passionate about innovation and committed to the mission and values of YI-Lab.


Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Video Editing for social media: Create engaging and informative video content tailored for social media platforms, ensuring alignment with YI-Lab’s branding and communication strategy.

2.    Online Course Production: Edit and compile video materials for online courses, enhancing the learning experience through high-quality visual storytelling.

3.    Animated Content Creation: Design and produce animated videos and graphics that simplify complex concepts, making them accessible and engaging for a wide audience.

4.    Collaboration: Work closely with the communications and digital teams to brainstorm, develop, and refine multimedia content.

5.    Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual content is consistent with our brand identity, messaging, and goals.

6.    Research and Development: Stay ahead of the latest trends and technologies in motion design and video editing to continually enhance the quality and impact of YI-Lab’s multimedia content.
